Yogesh Pancholi, an Indian national living in the US, has been convicted by a federal jury on the charges of health care and wire fraud.
Pancholi, owner of Shring Home Care Inc., has charged Medicare for services that were never provided. The fraud amounted to around $2.8 million.
In the official reports, it was revealed that Pancholi faked signatures and personal information of others to conceal his ownership.
It is not the first time an Indian national has been caught in a fraud in the US. Indians make up one of the most immigrating groups in the US providing both intellectual and financial services to the US and boosting the economy overall.
Cases like this do nothing but defame all the hardworking, honest Indians working in the USA
The sentencing is scheduled for January, next year.
