US Vice President and Democratic Party’s presidential candidate Kamala Harris has allegedly rejected a debate offer from Fox News against his rival Donald Trump. Fox had offered Kamala Harris and Donald Trump a platform for their debate on September 4. While there is no official statement from the parties, Trump revealed on Truth Social that his rival has refused to participate in the September 4 debate.

The last time the two parties went against each other on the podium was back in June, which turned out to be a disaster for the Democrats. After that CNN debate, Joe Biden was pressured from both ends to step down from the presidential race and instead endorsed his VP, Kamala Harris as his successor. It is possible that the Democrats will avoid such a disaster again and would want to start Harris’ campaign on the right front.
Fox News is categorized as a right-leaning media house with a history of supporting Donald Trump and Republicans. This could be a probable reason for Democrats backing off the debate on September 4. Trump has announced that he will go on with the scheduled event. Now, rather than a debate it will be a Tele-Town Hall anchored by Sean Hannity on Fox.
