The 2024 US elections might be the closest ever as earlier trends are still unclear on who is leading the race. While Kamala Harris had a narrow lead a month ago, her rival has gained significant ground on her.
According to new polls, Donald Trump is closing in on the US Vice President in the important swing states. In Wisconsin, Kamala Harris has a slight lead with 49 percent of the vote but the former President is not far behind at 47 percent.

In Michigan, the competition is even tighter, with Harris ahead by just one point—48 percent to Trump’s 47 percent. Meanwhile, the Republican candidate is leading in Ohio with just six points.
In North Carolina, another battleground state for the candidates, the poll showed the both of them running neck to neck, possibly leading to a tie. People express concern that the country is struggling under the current administration, which is helping Trump gain more support.
