Kash Patel is 9th FBI Director

Kash Patel is the new director of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which has been widely reported. He took charge on Friday, American time in the White House. An Indian-origin American Kash Patel took his oath on Bhagavad Gita.

His girlfriend Alexis Wilkins held Gita while Kash Patel put his hand on it and took his oath. In his speech, Patel said there would be accountability in FBI henceforth.

His first move was to transfer 1000 FBI employees to field jobs across the US. Another 500 were sent to Huntsville, Alabama bureau.

Kash Patel is said to be an obedient follower of President Trump. The Senate approved his nomination with 51-49 votes. Kash Patel is the 9th director of FBI.

Kash Patel’s roots are from Gujarat. His parents grew up in East Africa. During Ugandan dictator Idi Amin’s time, they migrated to the US.

Kash was born in New York’s Garden City in 1980. He graduated from University of Richmond and pursued law from University College London.

Following a couple of jobs, Kash Patel was appointed to Senate’s Committee of Intelligence. At that time Kash Patel helped in the issue of Russia’s intervention in 2016 US elections. That’s when Trump spotted him.
