Killer Of Indian Origin Teen Is Let Go Without Trial

A heartbreaking incident occurred in Nottingham where a 19-year-old Indian-origin girl named Grace O’Malley-Kumar lost her life while trying to save her friend in a brawl.

The tragic event unfolded on June 13th as the girl was walking with one of her friends to their student accommodation. Suddenly, they encountered a mentally challenged individual named Calocane, who attempted to stab her friend. Unable to stand by, she courageously intervened to protect him.

Regrettably, the assailant had a dagger and inflicted multiple stabs on her. O’Malley fell unconscious on the street, succumbing to the fatal injuries. This devastating incident left her family in shock. Adding to the tragedy, the killer was released without trial due to his mental illness.

This deeply affected the girl’s family. In court, her father expressed that she bravely fought against the assailant, like a hero, but unfortunately, the weapon used left her with no chance. He referred to Calocane as a cold, cowardly, and calculating killer who callously walked away, leaving his daughter lying on the street.

This unfortunate event has left many people devastated, those present in the court, as well as on the family members and friends.
