In another case of love gone wrong, an Indian American man, Krishan Sharma, 38, from Hayward, California, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of his romantic partner in Fremont on the night of July 20, 2024.
Police found the woman dead from a gunshot wound at Lake Arrowhead Avenue and Alvarado Road.

Krishan Sharma, who was already facing charges in a separate case, was apprehended on July 22 after a brief vehicle pursuit. He is now held on suspicion of murder and for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
He had been out on bail for charges related to another case of attempted murder and assault with a semi-automatic firearm.

The Fremont Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit took over the investigation, which included reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses.
Krishan Sharma and the victim were reportedly in a relationship at the time of the incident.

The case will be presented to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office soon.
The name of the victim has not yet been released. This is a developing story and the reason for the murder isn’t known yet.
