Hyd Student Found Dead in Finland: Family Demands Answers

Manideep Reddy Gujja Finland case

A tragic chapter has come to an end for the family of Hyderabad student Manideep Reddy Gujja, who had been missing in Finland for over two months.

The 18-year-old, who was pursuing higher education at LUT University in Lahti, Finland, disappeared in early May 2026, triggering a lengthy search operation. Following persistent efforts by his family and repeated appeals to both the government and the courts, the Finnish National Bureau of Investigation took over the case and launched an intensive search.

Authorities eventually recovered a body from the sea off the coast of Helsinki, which was later identified as Manideep. According to the Finnish National Bureau of Investigation, there are currently no signs of criminal foul play or any specific offence linked to his death. However, officials have said the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is still ongoing.

Manideep’s family, however, remains unconvinced. They believe he may have been abducted after he was last seen near a supermarket and have urged authorities to conduct a deeper investigation. According to them, the current findings still do not explain how he went missing or how he ultimately lost his life.
