If you are an Indian American hopeful of running for the Presidential elections, one community you definitely can’t miss on is the Indian Americans, the people who can relate to you the most. But it seems like republican Nikki Haley has so far failed to garner the support of the very community she belongs to and it is a big concern for her moving forward.
The republicans are battling out for the face of the opposition in the upcoming Presidential election. It is evident that Donald Trump has a clear advantage over every other candidate but Nikki Haley has managed to hold the second position in the race. But the voters believe that she is not doing enough to reach out to the colored community and the Indian Americans.
Haley had earlier been targeted because of her Indian origin by other candidates but still hasn’t managed to connect with the community. On the contrary, Vivek Ramaswamy has constantly asserted his Indian and religious identity to attract voters.
The balanced stance attempted by Nikki Haley has made the Indian American community feel ignored and they are not happy with it. Her campaign’s focus on all Americans seems too idealistic which might be costing her votes.
