An Nri woman from the UK, Nisha Dusra, currently serving a jail term in Mumbai, was convicted by a Rajkot court in another cheating case. The Rajkot court found her guilty under the Negotiable Instrument Act and sentenced her to 15 months imprisonment on June 15.

The court also also ordered Dusra to pay the cheque amount within a month.

She had allegedly cheated people of Rs 8 crore during the Covid pandemic and before that as well. The current case was registered before Mumbai’s cheating cases.

She herself Is an criminal, said the authorities and that’s why as soon as the case happened she was caught reshaned.

“We will wait for 30 days and if she won’t appear we will request the court to issue a warrant against her which will be served to her in jail. She will be handed over to jail authority here as soon as she gets released,” added Faldu.
