A rescheduled flight has tragically ended the lives of an NRI couple in Mumbai after they were killed in a fire. The couple was traveling from Mumbai to Nairobi with their family but on arrival they were informed that the flight had been rescheduled. The airline company accomodated the couple and family in a hotel in Santa Cruz where the fire broke out which claimed three lives.
Kishan, 28, and Rupal, 25, had come to India to attend Kishan’s brother’s wedding in Kutch district, Gujarat. The couple themselves were going to get married once they returned to Nairobi. They stayed in the country for shopping and meeting relatives while the newly wed had already flown back to Nairobi.
Kishan was born and brought up in Kutch where he lived till he was 13. After that he moved to Nairobi with his parents. Rupal was born in Nairobi only.
The third victim of the fire incident was Kantilal Vara, a 50 year old man. The incident is shocking and also shows the unpredictable nature of life where destiny rules over our planning.
