In the last one year, many countries have opened their doors for Indian tourists and offered visa free entry. So far the countries offering visa free entry were mostly those which relied heavily on tourism. It has been reported that Russia is going to offer visa free entry to all Indians from the end of 2024.
The news has come from a Russian minister who said that the initial rounds of talk for the deal is going to take place in June. The deal can significantly boost tourism between the two countries. Russians have seen India as a favorable tourist place for a long time but the opposite wasn’t true.
Getting a Russian visa was not easy for Indians and that’s why many tourists chose other countries in Europe over Russia. The new deal would ease the process significantly allowing Indians to enter Russia without a visa.
Similar initiatives were taken by Russia for Iran and China as well in the past. Russia is going to be the biggest addition to the list of countries allowing Indians to travel visa free. It is also going to strengthen the power of Indian passport significantly.
