Teen Killed in Party Shooting!

Nadia Itzel Tirado Kiiled A mass shooting murdered Oakley resident Nadia Itzel Tirado, 18, the coroner’s office reported. The Antioch Police Department received many 9-1-1 calls about the 1 a.m. gunshot at a Sunset Lane property in the 3300 blocks. Uninvited visitors entered and started firing, witnesses said. Tirado died at a nearby hospital. Seven additional victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooters left before the police arrived. The community has raised money for Tirado’s funeral through a GoFundMe page.

Bob Schaefer and Chris were woken by gunfire and saw the chaos. Schaefer described numerous bursts of gunfire and kids running in fright, while Chris described chaos and people running everywhere.

Despite the disconcerting happenings, Schaefer said he will stay in the neighborhood until his retirement, appreciating his survival through 23 years of hardships.

This is San Francisco’s second mass shooting in 48 hours. The San Francisco Police Department is investigating the Mission District block party shooting that wounded nine individuals. Anyone with information on the tragic shooting should contact the Antioch Police Department.
