Telugu Students’ Utterly Shameful Acts in Dallas

Telugu students’ utterly shameful acts in Dallas

At a time when the Trump government is being very strict on immigration, the Telugu community in the U.S., even though legally present, is going through one of its most difficult phases ever.

But the new batch of students arriving from the Telugu states seems to be adding to the problem. Some of these young students do not appear to understand the seriousness of the growing negativity toward Indians. By engaging in irresponsible acts in public places without basic civic sense, they end up giving the entire Indian community in the U.S. a bad image.

A recent video shows two youngsters dancing at the Dallas cattle statues and it has drawn heavy criticism from Americans.

One American woman commented:
“The Dallas cattle statues were built to honor settlers driving longhorns across open plains. Fast forward 150 years, now serving as the backdrop for Telugu TikTok dance routines. Your people are embarrassing themselves and making Texans irate in the process.”

Even Indians from both the U.S. and India are urging people to avoid such behavior in public spaces and to show basic civic sense. But the question remains, who will listen?
