As soon as humans discovered fire, they started their rebellion against nature. From shelters to modern fashion brands, it became their form of war against nature. For the sake of saving themselves and occupying the hot seat of nature, humanity always carried the desire to be the very best. But sometimes the force of nature reveals how incapable the whole species is.
An unfortunate event is making headlines today as a tornado destroyed a Pfizer Warehouse. The warehouse was stacked with COVID vaccines, and the tornado destroyed around 50,000 pallets of them.
At the North Carolina facility, reports are coming in that 16 people were injured, with 2 in critical condition. Along with this destruction, the tornado caused damage to 90 more buildings. The tornado, with a speed of 150 mph, had the capacity to cause even more destruction.
In a later statement, Pfizer informed how important that site was to them. The 250-acre site, with 1.4 million square feet of manufacturing space, is one of the largest sterile injectable facilities in the world. Even a quarter of the total U.S. sterile injections, 400 million units, are produced at the facility every year.
Now, the USA’s unpredictable weather has caused them many problems in the past, and this one is just adding more to that problem, not only on an economic basis but also creating a nationwide shortage of injections and medicines.
