Milan Hiteshbhai Patel, a 30-year-old Indian-American, died in Huron County, Ohio. Patel crashed on Route 61 north of Egypt Road at 4:39 am on May 30. Patel’s white 2014 Toyota Camry swerved right, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Norwalk Post. It hit a ditch, traffic sign, and tree, killing him.
The collision trapped Patel, who was not wearing a safety belt. Local officials are investigating if Patel was intoxicated while driving. The Huron County Sheriff’s Office, Coroner’s Office, Willard Fire and Rescue, Fairfield Fire and Rescue, Wilcox Towing, and Ohio Department of Transportation assisted in the investigation.
