When you’ve got a director like Homi Adajania, and the ensemble cast includes legends like Dimple Kapadia, Naseeruddin Shah and fresh but talented faces like Radhika Madan, Isha Talwar and Angira Dhar. You can’t expect anything less than a banger like Saas Bahu aur Flamingo.
The title successfully misleads you from being a generic Saas Bahu daily soap to a Drug Mafia story. The story is about Rani played beautifully by Dimple Kapadia, who runs a drug syndicate under the name of Rani Cooperative. This Pablo Escobar thing is assisted by the girls of Rani’s matriarch family.
The best thing about this 8 episode series is its unpredictable plot and interesting subplots. If we talk about performances, this series is a great example of perfect casting. Dimple Kapadia who is on a rampage this year playing marvelous roles possibly every month. She is great as the Mafia. Girl gang of Radhika, Angira and Isha Talwar have done tremendous job here. Deepak Dobriyal plays intense roles and has a great command on the screen. Naseeruddin Shah impresses everyone with his important cameo.
The show is an exhilarating rollercoaster ride of thrill and fun. It has got 8.5 rating on IMDb. You can definitely watch this series on Disney+ Hotstar.
