Before COVID hit the world, there was an unsaid rule in Bollywood that all three mega stars would set their dates fixed for the year for their movies. Diwali was booked for SRK, while Salman Khan had Eid reserved for him, and Aamir Khan was the one with Christmas as the prime release date for his movies.
After COVID, all the superstars lost their grip on the box office, and even though Salman tried to release his movie “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan” on Eid, it didn’t work. Nevertheless, Aamir Khan, whose last movies also didn’t perform well, is now planning to get back on track by reserving his usual Christmas date for his next movie, set to be released on December 20, 2024.
The upcoming movie will be an Aamir Khan production project, in which he will also star as the lead. The movie, which remains unnamed at the moment, is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to start filming in January 2024. Hopefully, this movie will mark his successful comeback after “Laal Singh Chadda.”
Although the success of “Pathaan” and “Gadar 2” suggests that the era of superstars is here to stay, it remains to be seen if Aamir can achieve similar success. Further details about the movie are still under wraps. Updates will be shared soon on M9. Stay tuned for that.
