Bollywood is witnessing a new digital trend where films are being released on two OTT platforms instead of one. John Abraham’s Tehran recently followed this pattern, releasing first on ZEE5 and later on Netflix within two weeks.
Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s courtroom drama Jolly LLB 3 is the next to join this trend. The film is expected to make its digital premiere on November 14, and both JioHotstar and Netflix are listed as streaming partners in its opening credits.
It’s still unclear whether both platforms will release the film simultaneously. However, what’s confirmed is that Jolly LLB 3 will be available on both services, giving fans more ways to stream it.
The film has already earned over ₹110 crore at the box office and featured the much-anticipated face-off between Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, each reprising their roles as Jolly. Despite mixed reactions from viewers, it performed decently during its theatrical run.
Now, with two OTT releases lined up, all eyes are on whether the film’s dual-streaming strategy will help it reach a wider audience and gain renewed attention online.
