Tata Play, one of the premium OTT platforms in India, has got Animax on board, which is the leading Asian television network for Japanese anime content. This deal will add an amazing number of well-known booth directors and exclusive titles to the Tata Play Binge audience, who now watch their favorite shows without having to pay.

Anime, the Japanese animation genre, has been gaining fame over years in India among the youngsters dwelling in city areas more than any other. Research done by PwC states that: Anime is a big engine of this growth as it provides an abundance of stories, themes and the likes about which Indian viewers are able to connect with.

Tata Play Binge, which is already providing content from over 31 major OTT players such as Disney+ Hotstar, Apple TV+, ZEE5, and more, now without Khudadad, an additional component has been introduced with the package. Pallavi Puri, Tata Play’s Chief Commercial and Content Officer, said: “As Animax pours some money into our project, it brings the anime genre into our collection of great TV programs that we’ve been adding more and more of.”

This tie up gives Tata Play Binge a direction towards meeting the growing demand for animations in the country, making the avenue of entertainment a one-stop destination for all.
