It is a sequel to the 2018 movie “The Meg,” which was well-loved by people. The story is based on a novel by Steve Alten and falls under the science fiction genre. In the narrative, a group of scientists discovers a megalodon shark over 20 meters long.
The sequel was planned in the same year after the success of the first movie. The story continues five years after the events of the first film. Jonas and Jiuming, while dealing with their personal journeys, are still exploring the Mariana Trench, where the first megalodon was found. Meanwhile, Haiqi, another megalodon in captivity, escapes, and the teams will face much larger challenges this time.
“Meg 2,” like the first movie, fared well and will be available on Jio Cinema from January 3rd, 2024.
