Bones and All is a wickedly cool romantic horror flick directed by Luca Guadagnino, with a screenplay by David Kajganich. The movie features the awesome talents of Taylor Russell and the heartthrob himself, Timothée Chalamet.
It’s based on Camille DeAngelis’ killer novel from 2015, also called Bones & All. The makers have up the story a bit, giving it this crazy deep meaning, but at the same time, they stayed true to the book in so many ways which is beautiful to witness.”
It is a cannibalistic horror story where Timothee Chalamet plays a man-eating bad boy. And Maren, raised by her non-eater father, also discovers her cannibalistic tendencies as child. When her father leaves, he leaves behind an audio cassette explaining her condition.
Bones and All isn’t really a horror flick. It’s more like a love story about two outlaws. Chalamet and Russell bring a certain sweetness to their characters that makes it tough to see them as monsters.
