Monster Season 2

Netflix has revealed Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny as the leads of “Monster” Season 2, focused on the Menéndez brothers. The season, called “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story,” is planned to premiere in 2024.

The brothers were convicted of their parents’ murders in 1996, with police believing that they inherited their father’s money. The boys allege they murdered their parents in response to years of mistreatment.

Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan co-wrote “Monster”. Both are executive producers, along with Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, David McMillan, Louise Shore, and Carl Franklin. The first season followed serial murderer Jeffrey Dahmer. It was a huge hit for Netflix, becoming one of the most-watched English-language programs of all time. Netflix then renewed it for two further seasons as an anthology series.

Sevigny and Murphy are slated to reconvene for a new role as José Menéndez. Sevigny previously appeared in American Horror Story and is expected to appear in the second season of FX’s “Feud”. She also appeared in “Bonjour Tristesse” and “Big Love.” Bardem, who has previously appeared in “Before Night Falls,” “Biutiful,” and “Being the Ricardos,” will play José Menéndez in his first regular English-language television role.

Both performers are represented by WME and Circle of Confusion, with Sevigny by WME and Circle of Confusion and Bardem by WME and Goodman Genow. Both performers have received several honors for their appearances in films and television series.
