The Gotham City newspapers will undoubtedly cherish the comeback of Batman, as he is now portrayed as more violent and brutal. At least, that’s what the makers say as they gave some significant updates about Prime Video’s Batman: Caped Crusader.
In the golden eras of DC’s animation, Batman was undeniably the heart and soul of it, especially during the ’90s and the early 2000s. It reached the pinnacle of DC content and remained influential until Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. The era after that was filled with disappointment.
However, it might change soon as Amazon’s adaptation of Batman will feature more visual violence and adapt a noir-like tone. This version will also have a very different animation style, aiming to stay true to its modern classic animation. There will be very few similarities in the storyline as well.
The series will also feature a younger Batman, somewhat like Robert Pattinson’s portrayal, and will focus on his journey in building relationships and a learning curve on being Batman.
Prime Video is targeting a 2024 release date, and you can expect it in the later part of the year.
