The wait for the fans of classic paranormal fiction is over as the long awaited screen adaptation of Dead Boy Detectives is set to hit Netflix this month. Based on Gaiman and Wagner’s 90’s classic, the Vertigo comics, the Netflix new arrival starring George Rextrew and Jayden Revri as Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland, two best friends and detectives who solve paranormal cases together. The catch?They are both DEAD already!
Dropped from the DC universe in 2022, the Dead Boy detectives was claimed by Netflix early in 2023, where it will be streaming live against another one of Gaiman’s comic adaptation, The Sandman. Loaded up with its star studded cast , the netflix new arrival promises a dark buddy comedy drama, drama led by Rexstrew and Revri, aided by supporting cast Kassius Nelson, Yuyu Kitamura, Jenn Lyon, Briana Cuoco, Lukas Gage, David Lacono and Ruth Connell.
The show was developed for television by co -showrunner Steve Yockey alongside Beth Schwartz and is produced by Greg Berlanti. Jeremy Carver and Sarah Schechter also serve as executive producers. The excitement and buzz is pretty evident among the fans on social media who await the release on April 25.
