Disney Will Give Streaming License To Other Platforms

Disney Will Give Streaming LicenseMaybe we are getting to the end of the golden journey. Disney won’t just be Disney’s anymore. Sounds odd? But this might be the future of the streaming giants.

Lately, Disney took some massive hits, even their most successful formulas didn’t work with audiences. And other producers like Netflix and Warner Bros are actually adapting the Disney style with a darker tone which goes well with the contemporary audiences.

Besides the budget cuts, Disney will also be giving streaming licenses to other platforms.

Earlier this was imaginable as Disney was untouchable but now with other platforms providing similar content, they have a genuine thread.

“It’s a possibility. I won’t rule it out,” Iger added in his recent conversation with a media outlet. Previously as the company was building its streaming platform, the exclusivity was important but now, they can play a bit with it.

Recently Warner Bros Discovery is also in talks about giving streaming licenses to other platforms including Netflix. They are even capitalizing on ad-supported streaming services, generating good revenue. Even shows like Westworld are streaming on multiple platforms such as Tubi.

Disney’s this decision will give the shows a bit more exposure. It’s not that Disney needs exposure, but a step like this will definitely heal their business to some extent.
