As soon as Kangana Ranaut produced Tiku Weds Sheru hits the market, she is back with her new project. A film on one of the most controversial in the history of India, we are talking about Emergency. The teaser just dropped and we are also informed about the release date of the film.
“Kyuki, India is Indira, and Indira is India!” The trailer fades away with the voice of Kangana as she portrays the first female prime minister of the country, Indira Gandhi. In the trailer, we also saw Anupam Kher who also delivered some powerful dialogue in the short teaser.
Earlier the film was supposed to be released on 20th October but it was clashing with Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath. In the new teaser, the date has been postponed to 24th November.
“Emergency is one of the most significant and darkest chapters in our history that young India needs to know. It is a crucial story and I want to thank my super-talented actors like late Satish ji, Anupam ji, Shreyas, Mahima, and Milind for embarking on this creative journey together. I am excited to bring this extraordinary episode from India’s history to the big screen. Jaihind!”, Kangana commented this while she was talking about her inspiration behind the movie.
Most of her fans are excited about the movie, it will surely draw their attention. But on political grounds, it will bring major pull, that’s inevitable. The last Kangana project Dhaakad which fell flat on its face but this time, Emergency might work among the growing popularity of political films. But her overall image might affect the film and its market, the audience still treats her like a controversial figure, that’s for sure.
