Chris Hemsworth returns as Tyler Rake, this time saving the innocent family of a Georgian mafia lord from the country’s deadliest prison.
After a near-death experience in the first movie where he was shot in the neck, Just as he settles into his new life, Idris Elba’s character offers him a job. Initially Tyler doesn’t agree to it but when he’s is told that this mission involves one of his family members. He is bound to go for this deadly Extraction.
Since the story has no direct connection with India unlike the first part. This sequel features characters played by Golshifteh Farahani, Tornike Gogrichiani, Adam Bessa, Daniel Bernhardt and more.
Extraction 2 follows the story of two brothers, ruthless Georgian gangsters with a devoted following. One brother gains new followers in prison, while the other unleashes chaos with his influence. Caught in the dangerous underworld are the imprisoned brother’s innocent wife, daughter, and teenage son. Will Tyler be able to save them?
Chris Hemsworth is amazing, effortlessly taking down bad guys with style and looking hot while doing it. His angry persona, daring stunts, and badassery make you root for him. What does we expect from a movie like Extraction 2? Hardcore violence and some great action sequences? Yes! They deliver it.
But they couldn’t create the same magic with the writing department as Joe Russo’s predictable script makes this action thriller only a decent one-time watch. Extraction 2 is available on Netflix.
