They are back from the land of the dead, that’s how you can summarise the comeback of the beloved show. Last year, Netflix cancelled a plethora of shows, and ‘Warrior Nun’ was on their chopping board as well.
Now fans took the social media over, petitions and campaigns flooded the internet and as of today, they are on the winning side. Simon Barry confirms that the show will be returning on his Twitter account and fans are buzzing.
‘Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion, and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more EPIC than you could imagine. More details to come! SOON! Thank-you!! #SaveWarriorNun #WarriorNunSaved’, this is what his tweet read and it was followed by the celebration of the fans.
Though the celebration slowed down soon enough as it became clear that it won’t be back on Netflix. There isn’t any confirmation about where it will be available or when it will be available to stream. But this gives a ray of hope to the fans and a sense of success.
The first season aired on Netflix in 2020 and it was followed by the second season which came out last year. The series is based on a comic character by Ben Dunn and revolves around Ava Silva, who discovers that she has powers.
The first two seasons are still available on Netflix, where will the future ones go? To get the answer, we have to wait but what can’t wait is the celebration. The viewers are always happy to get one over the streaming giants. This victory might follow future campaigns for other shows like 1899 which began to build a strong fanbase.
