Huge! House Of The Dragon Sets Release Window

House of the Dragon

Season two of Seven Kingdoms will be shortened into eight “jam-packed” episodes, following the shocking finale of the previous season. Claire Kilner, the director, stated that the eight episodes are loaded with emotionally and visually stimulating situations.

Prince Daemon Targaryen, a rogue prince from Westeros, is a mystery person in George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” canon. His life, exploits, sins, and marriages are chronicled in Martin’s Westerosi historical book Fire & Blood and the HBO Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragons.

The second season of the Seven Kingdoms will be shortened into eight episodes, including returning characters Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower. Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke will return, while newcomers include Freddie Fox, Abubakar Salim, Simon Russell Beale, and Gayle Rankin. Director Claire Kilner applauded the showrunner’s decision to have a solid start and finish.

Smith’s apparent verification of House of the Dragon season 2’s release date is noteworthy for several reasons. The initial response, of course, is that HBO probably didn’t want him to say it. HBO’s latest bit of news on this front came around the end of 2023 when the network hinted at an “early summer” release date for Season 2. We’re not sure whether our timetable differs from HBO’s, but we’d classify “August” as “late summer,” not early.
