The agreement includes The Clifton Chronicles, Fourth Estate, First Among Equals, The Eleventh Commandment, Sons of Fortune, and Heads You Win. Each of these globally acclaimed titles will be reimagined as high-end web series and films tailored to Indian cultural contexts and produced in regional languages.

Sameer Nair, Managing Director of Applause Entertainment, described the deal as a milestone that brings global fiction to local storytelling. The company aims to infuse Indian ethos into the narrative structure while retaining the intensity and international appeal of Archer’s original plots.

Jeffrey Archer, whose books have sold over 275 million copies worldwide, expressed enthusiasm for the Indian adaptations, acknowledging the country’s long-standing affection for his work. He stated, “Indian readers have always embraced my stories. I’m thrilled to see them come alive on screen with an Indian twist.”

While timelines and directors are yet to be revealed, Nair confirmed that some stories—particularly The Clifton Chronicles—are envisioned as multi-season sagas, while others may take the form of standalone films.

This initiative adds to the growing wave of global-class storytelling coming out of India, promising to blend political intrigue, espionage, and deeply layered character arcs. With plans for global streaming distribution, Indian OTT platforms are clearly gearing up to compete at the highest level.
