As the English Premier League season kicks off, Indian fans are excited to watch the matches live on JioCinema, previously known as JioHotstar. However, viewers have been left disappointed as the streaming experience has not lived up to their expectations so far.
Many users have taken to social media to complain that the colours during live matches appear dull and faded. Several also pointed out that the overall quality of the streaming feels weaker compared to the campaign that was broadcast last year.
With the visuals lacking vibrancy and appearing slightly warm, subscribers were unhappy with what they were getting despite paying for the service. Fans expressed frustration that they were not receiving the premium quality they had expected from the platform.
Another problem highlighted by several viewers was related to commentary. Many subscribed to JioHotstar mainly to watch Premier League matches with Hindi commentary, but they soon realised that Hindi coverage was not available for every match as promised.
Although JioCinema had advertised Hindi commentary for all Premier League games, several matches went without it, which left fans upset. Many criticised the platform for failing to deliver what was promoted and demanded better consistency.
With the Premier League campaign beginning on a sour note for Indian audiences, football lovers now wait to see how JioCinema handles these complaints and improves its services to win back trust among its dedicated subscribers.

Hey @hotstar_helps, what’s going with the Premier League streams? Colors look super dull! Bring back the vibrant visuals. #JioHotstar #PremierLeague @JioHotstar @PLforIndia

Hey @hotstar_helps, I demand a refund. I paid for the 4K subscription of @JioHotstar solely for the Premier League, yet there is no Hindi commentary available as promised. This is a clear case of misleading service.#PremierLeagueHINDI#PremierLeague#pl@premierleague pic.twitter.com/UwdCUp4NEv
