This Jio Studios’ coming-of-age film ‘Kacchey Limbu’ starring Radhika Madan is a refreshing change among sports movies. It also premiered at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September 2022.
Aakash, a talented cricketer, wants to play for India but his family wants him in a corporate job. He challenges his sister Aditi to a cricket match to prove himself and sparks a rivalry between them.
The sibling dynamic is spot-on! They can’t stand each other, but they’ve got each other’s back. Radhika Madan’s Aditi is adorable and relatable. It’s all about her finding herself and gaining the courage to live her own life.
Rajat Barmecha kills it as her older brother, Akash, supporting her all the way. Madan and Barmecha totally nail the love-hate sibling thing, and the chemistry with Ayush Mehra is so smooth, you’ll root for them as a team.
