During a volcanic eruption in Vik, a small town in Ireland, a woman emerges from the dark, completely covered in ashes. Later we will discover that the woman who used to work at a local hotel for 20 years hasn’t aged a single day.

Now this is not your average spooky ‘coming back to life’ story with a sprinkle of sci-fi, it’s much different, it will take you to the roots of Icelandic mythology. This will follow itself up with some other discovery of Ash-covered people and that will draw the attention of the commoners.

The series also doesn’t limit itself to myth and science but also will make you discover the depths of various relationships, it will make you deal with grief, regret, and loss. A journey that you will never forget, it will also give you philosophical dilemmas, and it will make you think.

The series also ends in a cliffhanger, you will be wanting for more but this will also give you a feeling of completion. A weird feeling indeed. You can stream it on Netflix and to check the trailer out, click below-
