Karan Johar steps out of his sweet spot of romance and not only enters the realm of thrillers but also hits it out of the park. At least, that’s what the Toronto Film Festival thinks about the new collaboration between Johar, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Nikhil Nagesh Bhat.
Johar is already on a hot streak, as his latest venture, “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” was indeed a hit in the market.
Now, “Kill” is not like traditional Indian action films where bombs go off and cars fly. The entirety of the action takes place on a train. So yes, it might disappoint fans who want to see explosive action, but the train-based action seems promising for viewers.
The film follows the endeavors of Indian army commandos Amrit and Viresh, who are on a mission to rescue Amrit’s girlfriend, Tulika. She is engaged to someone against her will, and with the mental torment she endures, another problem arises. Around 40 bandits board the train with one intention: to loot it, and the events escalate faster than you can anticipate.
This promises to deliver heart-pounding action, which is indeed a treat for all action fans. With the thrill that the train setting brings, the movie is indeed promising.
Although the story sounds interesting, the cast also brings freshness to the table. It features faces like Lakshya, Tanya Maniktala, and Raghav Juyal in lead roles. Additionally, there are experienced names like Parvez Shaikh, who will join as an action choreographer.
The film “Kill” is a collaborative project, with Achin Jain and Monga Kapoor representing Sikhya Entertainment, and Apoorva Mehta and Johar associated with Dharma Productions. There have been no updates regarding the release yet, but we can expect to hear something from the makers soon.
