Netflix has released the second season of the popular anthology film Lust Stories. Created by 4 different directors, Lust Stories 2 delves into different aspects of human desire.
In Lust Stories 2, R Balki’s segment focuses on a young couple Mrunal Thakur, Angad bedi and their grandmother, emphasizing the significance of sexual compatibility with humor and wacky one-liners from Neena Gupta.
Konkana Sen Sharma’s segment in Lust Stories 2 is the standout of the anthology. It explores the journey of two women from different backgrounds as they navigate their sexual awakening in a unique and twisted manner.
Sujoy Ghosh’s segment in Lust Stories 2 features Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma as a couple. It is a thriller that explores the theme of lust, with a nostalgic 70s-80s vibe.
Amit Sharma’s segment in Lust Stories 2 includes scenes depicting domestic violence. Kumud Mishra portrays a powerful man in a village who engages in gambling and coerces young girls into sex. The story revolves around his wife, Kajol using his lustful behavior to seek revenge and destroy him.
The first story of R balki seems quite straightforward and is the weakest of all. While the next one directed by Konkana Sen Sharma is the most impressive among four. Tillotama Shome and Amrita Subhash deliver impressive performances.
The third segment directed by Sujoy Ghosh fails to create chemistry between the leads. The last one is based on sexual assault done by Kumud Mishra”s character. Its ending may put you in a dilemma.
The sequal is definitely not as intriguing as season 1. The last two stories feel more like a part of ghost stories as there are a few spooky elements. But they can’t help much in elevating the anthology. Still if you have liked it first season. You can watch 2nd and 4th story. The other two are skippable at best.
