Despite having a heavy promotion Netflix’s new series “Mandala Murders” still crash landed.
Having Surveen Chawla and Vaibhav Raj Gupta as the cast of the show, it looks like having Vaani Kapoor in the lead made it a little bit impossible for the audiences to like.
Viewers have criticized her performance as lackluster, especially when placed beside seasoned OTT actors.
According to the audience the show tried to include basically everything all together like politics, mythology, science, and many more.
But rather than feeling rich and layered,
ends up being a chaotic narrative mess.
While hits like “Sacred Games” and “Delhi Crime” showed promise, most new Indian content feels like a re-written version of the old gems.
If Netflix wants to survive in India’s competitive OTT space, it must shift focus from franchise and big names to good storytelling.
