The second season of Money Heist spinoff, Berlin, has been officially ordered by Netflix. The first season of the Spanish-language series, which served as a prelude to Money Heist, featured Andrés de Fonollosa, also known as Berlin, as he prepares one of his most audacious thefts ever in Paris with his brilliant band of thieves while falling in love with the victim’s wife.
Berlin season 1 premiered on Netflix on December 29 and has remained on the streaming service’s Global Top 10 ranking for the last seven weeks, making it the ninth most-watched other languages language series ever.
Netflix has revealed that the title character, Pedro Alonso, will return for season 2 with a fresh heist and more love. The Berlin cast, including Tristán Ulloa as Damián, Michelle Jenner as Keila, Begoña Vargas as Cameron, Julio Peña Fernández as Roi, and Joel Sánchez as Bruce, will regroup to prepare another grandiose robbery.
The show’s structure of tracking a fresh robbery each season is scheduled to continue, while the specifics of season 2’s theft are unknown. Despite a successful finish to Berlin’s romance with Camille, Damián encounters relationship issues that may disturb the team in Berlin season 2.
