Among India’s growing love for cop content on OTT platforms, “Khakee” was appreciated by the fans. Now, after the grand success of Neeraj Pandey in the OTT world with a show like “Special Ops,” he produced another show in 2022 on Netflix that also topped the weekly charts during that time. The makers are planning to bring its second season
“Khakee,” directed by Bhav Dhulia, was a 7-episode gangster show based on the life of IPS officer Amit Lodha. Lodha played a major role in eradicating criminals like Chandan Mahto from the land of Bihar, which was infamous for crime during that time.
The show featured brilliant actors like Avinash Tiwary, whom we loved as Qais in “Laila Majnu” and Chhote Thakur in “Bulbbul,” portraying the gangster Chandan Mahto. Widely known TV actor Karan Tacker, who also had an important role in “Special Ops,” essayed the role of IPS Amit Lodha in this series. Along with them, the show also included actors like Ashutosh Rana, Ravi Kishan, and Nikita Dutta.
Due to the high praise the show received at that time, its makers have shared a clip of its upcoming sequel. The show will focus on another chapter in making Bihar free from crime.
