Madeline Brewer has joined Netflix’s cast for the last season of the fifth season of the well-liked television series You. Brewer will portray Bronte, a recent hire at Joe’s bookshop who is named after a writer.
The protagonist of the program is Joe, an innocent-looking man who rapidly develops a fatal obsession with connections with women. Joe relocated to London in Season 4, adopting the guise of Jonathan Moore, a university lecturer.
Joe’s attention is still on Marienne (Tati Gabrielle), but he also has to find the murderer’s identity. By the season’s finale, Joe discovers that his assumed friendship with Rhys (Ed Speleers) is mostly imaginary, but finally motivates him to move to New York.
Chief executive producers Michael McCarthy and Justin W. Lo will run Season 5. Brewer is scheduled to return for The Handmaid’s Tale’s sixth and final season on Hulu. She is most recognized for her role as Janine in the Emmy Award- and Golden Globe-winning series.
In addition, Brewer starred with Lucy Fry in I Live Here Now and Kyle Chandler, Phoebe Dynevor, Diane Lane, and Zoey Deutch in the thriller Anniversary. She most recently played Sally Bowles in the Playhouse Theatre’s Olivier Distinguished London production of Cabaret.
