What will Sienna do when she finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her? The movie “Perfect Addiction” is based on Claudia Tan’s book with the same name. It’s about a boxing trainer Sienna played by Kiana Madeira, who finds out her boyfriend Jax is cheating on her with her sister. To get revenge, she decides to train her boyfriend’s rival, Kayden played by Ross Butler, to defeat him in the ring. Reluctant at first, Kayden agrees for the chance to become a better fighter. Sienna trains him, stays at his place. Despite their initial agreement of not getting closer, eventually they fall in love.
Sienna and Kayden’s romance is intense, but is also super cute and heartwarming. It’s totally different from anything she had with Jax, which was just plain toxic. In those flashbacks, it’s clear that Jax would mess with Sienna’s head, making her doubt herself and feel worthless as a fighter. She even worries about her sister being with him because he’s so aggressive. But with Kayden, it’s all about love and support, and it’s just so much better.
Perfect Addiction features steamy sex scenes that support the story, including safe sex practices. However, the characterization of Sienna’s ex, Jax, as a manipulative abuser could have been better.
