A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, the upcoming Game of Thrones spinoff series, has a release timeframe according to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav.

Tales of Dunk and Egg by George R. R. Martin will serve as the basis for the next spinoff. Ninety years precede the events of the first season of Game of Thrones in this trilogy of novellas.

It implies that The Hedge Knight’s events will take place between Game of Thrones and Dragon House. The prequel spinoff will delve into the early exploits of Aegon V. Targaryen (also known as “Egg”) and Ser Duncan the Tall (also known as “Dunk”).

During the most recent earnings call for Warner Bros. Discovery, Zaslav revealed the “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” theatrical release date. The eagerly awaited program will premiere in late 2025. The CEO did not, however, specify when it will be released. When approving GOT-based initiatives, WBD appears to be becoming more circumspect.

Rather than concentrating on the growth of companies such as Marvel Studios, the well-known media company is taking its time approving and scheduling its Game of Thrones programming. For the television series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight,” casting has not yet begun. The planned Game of Thrones spinoff may contain six episodes in season one.
