People had high hopes when they learned that Rohit Shetty was going to venture into OTT with the Indian police force as part of his cop universe. However, as the show premiered, it shattered everyone’s expectations.
Though foresighted individuals could perceive the lack of a promising premise from the trailer drop, nobody expected the show to be this bad. Not a single aspect of the series can be praised. This 7-episode show features actors like Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi in lead roles, but all performances lack the charm needed for a show of this caliber.
The editing appears haphazard, and the convoluted timeline confuses the audience instead of generating excitement. The show can make anyone bored within its starting episodes. One aspect that usually intrigues the audience is the origin story of the villain, which is also poorly written.
In the later episodes, when Sidharth Malhotra’s character undergoes numerous troubles, you barely feel the pain. Alongside the poor performances, this is also due to the subpar writing of the show. The cringeworthy dialogues make the show unbearable.
“Indian Police Force” is a show that even true Rohit Shetty fans will find difficult to digest. At least they could have shown some creativity in naming the show. “Indian Police Force” is streaming on Prime Video.
