The lead role of the series Sarah Paulson has recently confirmed that the series will not be returning for a second season. The fans are in shock as the first season was not only very interesting but also a success on Netflix.
Ratched received a two season order from Netflix initially but there was no information about the second season and the fans had been waiting for the last 4 years. The series was a horror thriller based in an asylum. The inspiration came from nurse Ratched of the ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’ Nest’.
The series was very well received by both audience and critics and it managed to maintain a good rating of 7.2 on IMDb. Other than Sarah Paulson, it featured Finn Wittrock, Cynthia Nixon, Sharon Stone etc.
The news of Netflix canceling the second season of the show has brought disappointment among the fans. The last season ended in a cliffhanger and fans were eagerly waiting to get a resolution for the last 4 years.
