When the “too feminist” teaser of “The Crew” dropped, everyone expected just another episode of a feminazi group of girls with men-hating jokes that would make no sense with the storyline. This was something we had already seen in movies like “Veere Di Wedding” and “Four More Shots Please”, but “The Crew” was different.
When the movie was released, it surprised everyone with its comic timing and the chemistry between the lead actresses. Starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, the movie tells an interesting story of three air hostesses at Kohinoor Airlines who have been deprived of their salaries for months. They need to take action when they discover that the owner of their airline is bankrupt and has fled to Dubai. Now, they are caught between their needs and wants.
The most exciting aspect of this movie is its entertaining first half, which never lets you feel bored. The jokes land properly, and the meta-humor of the movie keeps the audience engaged.
It also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma in supporting roles, who provide great support. The movie became a huge success in theaters. It is now set to premiere on May 24, 2024, only on Netflix India. You can watch “The Crew” this weekend.
