Nun 2, after its successful run in the cinemas, has made its OTT release in India on Amazon Prime Video Store, October 19th. The film, despite receiving lukewarm reviews did well on the big screens, majorly owing to it being set up in the widely popular Conjuring Universe.
The Nun 2, is available to rent at a hefty sum of Rs.499 which brings us to our question, should you be investing in it? This James Wan movie has unfortunately failed to lighten a spark in our eyes and the reasons for it are various. The movie fails to build up tension like its predecessor, The Conjuring and feels lackluster at places. Not just that, but for most of the duration you are left waiting for something or the other to happen, which is rewarded only in the final run of its duration; does it pay off well? NO.
The movie has spent more time in its seemingly never-ending long dialogues and the pauses in between making it a no go for those who love horror movies for their jump scares. In conclusion, we will say that you should watch it if you have a keen interest in the ‘Conjuring’ Universe, however any other reason for spending 499 rupees of your hard-earned income fails to surface which is certainly not helping the fact that the movie is a one-time watch and watching it more than once is an excruciating task, with enjoyability levels dropping to zero.
Nun 2 follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading, and darkness is on the rise once again.
