Set in the fall of 1987, the final season follows Hawkins as it deals with the aftermath of the Rifts. The core group reunites to face Vecna once again, while Eleven struggles with growing pressure from an ongoing government chase.

The finale features returning favourites such as Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, David Harbour and Finn Wolfhard. The first four episodes have already drawn 59 million viewers worldwide in their opening week.

With a runtime of 2 hours and 5 minutes, the finale is one of the show’s most ambitious chapters. The simultaneous streaming and theatrical release is a major experiment for Netflix. If it succeeds, it will be a moment of celebration for all Stranger Things fans.
