Disney+ brings this new Australian psychological thriller series called The Clearing. It is an adaption of the book ‘Im the Clearing’ by J.P. Pomare.
The series is loosely based on a female leader and cult-The Family that was spreading in the 70s. It stars Miranda Otto, Teresa Palmer and Guy Pearce in lead roles.
The story follows the life of a woman who faces her demons to prevent this cult ‘The Family’ from growing and executing their masterplan.
