Whenever the term documentaries is mentioned the first platform that pops in the head is undoubtedly ‘Netflix’. The genre has been their success mantra for ages now with them rolling out groundbreaking series like Dahmer and in Indian context, House of Secrets and The Hunt for Veerappan, the streaming giant is back with yet another potential heartstopper, this time featuring Indrani Mukerjea.
Monday morning Netflix released its trailer for its 4-episode thrilling documentary which will be examining the Sheena Bora case, witnessing which the nation had once stood on a standstill and media interest was at a new peak.
Directed by Uraaz Bahl, the plot will mainly center around entertainment industry’s queen Indrani Mukerjea’s motive behind the cold-blooded murder of Sheena Bora. The nearly 2-minute-long trailer puts forward a strong impression of every character being complex and story being one to be remembered for ages.
The series comes after the immense success of Netflix’s recently released docuseries, ‘The Hunt for Veerappan’, the title which had followed the rise and fall of the nation-wide known smuggler and the 20 yearlong manhunt that was ensued after him. This also marks a trend of streaming giants trying to bring to screens the high-profile cases which are known for sending chills throughout the country and the mantra seems to be working so far.
So, buckle up and be ready for February 23rd, for the case of a mother murdering her own flesh and blood, her own daughter is going to come to the ‘comfort’ of your very screens, only on Netflix; ‘The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth’ is nearer than ever!
