Most of us must have spent our golden childhood days playing Super Mario. Now Prime Video comes with an awesome movie called “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”. A computer-animated adventure flick inspired by Nintendo’s video game franchise.
The movie is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic and written by Matthew Fogel. It’s got a bunch of actors lending their voices, like Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, and Jack Black.
The story is about these Italian-American guys Mario and Luigi. They decide to start their own plumbing business in Brooklyn. Their ex-boss Spike mocks them, and their dad ain’t too thrilled either. But when they spot a huge water leak on the news, they go underground to fix it. Next thing you know, they get sucked into a Warp Pipe and get split up which eventually leads to a crazy turn of events!
Unlike the 1993 movie, this Mario movie totally nails the vibe. Whether it’s the busy streets of Brooklyn or the crazy colorful Mushroom Kingdom, the cool and flashy style really works like magic.
Despite the familiar plot, ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ is a treat for fans around the globe. You can watch this 1 hour 32 minutes movie on Prime Video.
