This Disney Series Dominated Global OTT Awards

Moving SeriesMore and more OTT platforms are indeed investing in Asian shows, and the results have been really fruitful so far. Disney’s big-budget show “Moving” is grabbing the attention of fans and was highly prominent at a recent award show.

The Korean fantasy-crime-action series “Moving” had a fantastic night at the Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards, winning six awards in total, including the prestigious ‘best creative’ prize.

In August, Disney+’s “Moving” series made a notable debut and garnered several prestigious awards. Kang Full, the webtoon artist turned filmmaker behind the show, received the best writer award at the Busan Cinema Centre’s main stage. Actor Ryu Seung Ryong, who portrayed a superpowered father in “Moving,” won the best lead actor prize.

The series itself was honored with the best visual effects award. Additionally, Lee Jung Ha and Go Youn Jung from “Moving” were named best newcomer and best actress, respectively.

The series consists of 20 episodes and is also gaining mass appreciation around the globe. This Korean original series achieved the highest viewership on Disney+ and Hulu, and its series finale became the most-watched ever on Disney+ in several parts of Asia, including Korea, the Philippines, and Taiwan.

The award ceremony also brought happiness to Indian viewers as the Netflix series “Scoop” managed to grab a couple of awards.
